I travelled solo many years ago. After I landed and grabbed my duffel bag from the luggage area, I couldn't even figure out how to get from the airport to the city even though I technically spoke the language. Was mostly by myself. Slept on trains or on beaches. Lots of hot and sweaty days. Made a handful of friends, saw all kinds of beautiful things, was completely free. In the end, I think of this trip as one of the best adventures of my life.
